I am a eten-X650 user,but now ,my X650 is dead ,and I make sure the root cause is X650 bootloader is broken, So,I have to use JTAG to update the cpu and nand flash to repair my PPC.

But I do not know where is the JTAG pin (TMS、TCK、TDI、TDO、TRST) on eten X650 maid board! My X650 main board photo as the follow… and I do not have the right bootloader.bin files… Could you help me?

Eten X650 is my favoryt PPC,and the JTAG PIN is my last hope! Help! Sos! the follow pohot is my X650...

I've been to some trouble to find you guys and register to the forum. Most forums, eten users or xda developers recomand you to be the best in the field so I figured out it would be the best place to ask...

I have an eten x600 with a damaged bootloader. It needs some jtag programming, i've build an interface to flash it but i can't find the jtag pinnout (what is where) on those 17 golden dots. It isn't the same with m700 and m800, i've tried that allready it didn't work. As far as I see, one option would be to desolder the samsung cpu and find the jtag pins on the motherboard using the cpu pinnout from the datasheet. But i would prefer not to desolder - resolder the cpu for now.

Does anyone know the jgag pinnout for the x600 or a similar model, for me to map out the x600 pins? I gues, x500, x500+, x650 or x800 could be usefull also altrought they woun't work directly.
Maybe there are another solutions but as far as cpu soldering and jtag random connections.. i don't see other options.

no, it's sure those models woun't work because of the different pin arrangement and because the GND pin is located elsewhere than where is located on those pictures.

invert the picture, on your photo SIM-connector at left, and on our picture it ith on right side...

I think that he needs not to invert, but to turn it on 180 degree.

This I mean

the ground GND pin isn't located on the far edge. So an exact match isn't possible.
Could someone measure some resistances between pins on these devices, let's say TDI and GND , or TDO and TDI or any group and post some results from a known jtag mapped device with this processor or similar? I could then measure and try to find some matches on my pins.

the gnd pin on my connector (x600) is somewhat like this picture (eten m800), the same position. However the other pins don't seem to be right.

If GND is same, why do you think that other pins don't right? It is standart pin-connector for Eten...

no, it's not the same connector, the gnd pin is in the same area only if you look the pins in the mirror.

One stupid question, just to be sure, if I make an unbuffered connection to the parralel port on my pc.. the phone would get the power from the jtag connection, right? no other external power needed ?

You need to plug-in your AC adaptor and press the button that must be pressed by the battery (for to indicate to the device that the battery is on it's place).

lol, man.. no other site "told" about that. I was trying to flash it only by connecting jtag pins to the motherboard and nothing else.
I thought that practicaly jtag drives signal directly to the processor and power is being driven from the same wires.

Put the battery in to device, check that button on motherboard are pressed and press power button...
Use H-Jtag to detect the CPU core.

i've got the ideea but one more thing, if i power the phone and press the on swich woun't the phone starting process send instructions to the cpu to load various settings? In more simple terms , woun't the phone be "busy" powering up rather then respond to jtag test signals?

BigMike : i can insert the battery, because i'll solder some small wires to the jtag connection, the battery can go over them and will still fit in there.
I don't know if it's possible with only ac power because normally eten phones don't start without a battery, even if the battery lid contact is pressed. Most probably i will have to do it with battery power.

Of course, insert the battery, if you can.

I dont translate accurately what you meen. the phone dont "busy" when it powering up.So this is not matter for detecting CPU, but when you start use NoICE, you mast doo all wery quckly after Powering on, some 10 sek. becouse watch-dog of CPU can starting and reset device. Before all you must reset device by plug-out battery to reset SDRAM of CPU...

To BigMike: Очень просто используя тонкие провода (типа МГФТ) и припаивая их к плоскости ( горизонтально), я в Qtek 8500 так паял, к тому же пины там находились с обратной стороны платы. Так что при желании и умении сделает, вряд ли у него есть лабораторный блок питания...

Ive found the jtag pins for x600, established a connection via a buffered cable i've made, but i can't get the boot and usbdl on the phone. I know how to extract usbdl from a rom file but i don't know how to get the boot file (the one needed to flash the first sectors of memory). I've tried with a m500 boot i found on this forum, my phone gave a white screen and the green gsm led was flashing. That's something, my phone was totally dead untill now.
Should I follow the instructions as they are written here, only with files for x600?
